Delicious Apple Pie - Perfect for the Holiday Season

 

Ingredients:
8 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
6-7 apples
1 tsp cinnamon 
Trader Joes Pie Crusts
1 egg + 1tbsp sugar

Directions:
  1. Melt 8 tbsp butter in medium heat
  2. Add 3 tbsp flour. Stir for a minute.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup water and 3/4 cup sugar. Bring it to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Let it cool while you prepare your apples.
  4. Peel and thinly slice 6-7 apples sprinkle in 1 tsp cinnamon
  5. Stir in the sauce that you made to coat the apples
  6. Place 1 Trader Joe's Pie Crust in a pie dish and add all the apple mixture
  7. Place the 2nd pie crust on a flat surface. Cut 10 even strips and make the lattice topping of your pie.
  8. Beat 1 egg + 1tbsp sugar and brush it gently on your lattice topping
  9. Bake it for 15 minutes at 425 F. Continue baking for another 45 minutes at 350 F
  10. Remove your pie from the oven and let it cool for an hour
  11. Serve with your favorite vanilla ice cream

Homemade Rice Pudding

 

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup of uncooked white rice

Pinch of salt
1 egg
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

Directions:
  1. Cook the rice in milk for about 20-25 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  2. Whisk together egg and brown sugar and add into the saucepan of rice and milk. Stir on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and cinnamon.

    Serve warm or cold.👍

Pappardelle Alfredo w/o Cream


Ingredients:
2 packages of 8oz Pappardelle Pasta
1 lb Chicken Breasts (cut in any size desired)
8 oz White mushrooms (cut)

Directions: (Pappardelle)
  1. Bring water to boil
  2. Add noodles and stir gently to separate.
  3. Bring back to boil and cook 6 to 7 minutes Drain and toss with Olive oil
Directions: (Alfredo Sauce)
  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan
  2. saute garlic and chicken, and mushroom
  3. stir corn starch into garlic-butter mixture until dissolved and smooth,
Serve with with your favorite greens. We ate it with sauteed Brussels Sprouts.👍
